Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect what's needed to run your account, score your matches, and calculate your ratings. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't show ads.
Who we are
Rack IQ is operated by Caraballo Technologies, Houston, Texas, USA ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Rack IQ app or website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, name, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally your state/province, country, and an existing rating (such as a Fargo rating) to seed your profile.
- Gameplay and statistics. Matches, shots, outcomes, ratings, tournament entries, and related competitive statistics you or a tournament director record in the app. This is the core of what Rack IQ does — your statistics and ratings are visible to other Rack IQ users as part of player profiles, leaderboards, and events.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or Stripe depending on your platform. We receive subscription status (e.g., which tier is active) but never your full card number.
- Technical information. Basic logs needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps of requests.
How we use information
- To operate your account, sync your data across devices, and calculate ratings and statistics.
- To run tournaments, leaderboards, calcutta auctions, and live event features.
- To manage subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and maintain rating integrity.
- To send service emails such as password resets and account notices.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
- We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to running Rack IQ.
Sharing
Your player profile — name, ratings, match history, and statistics — is visible to other Rack IQ users, because competitive ratings only work when they're public. Beyond that, we share information only with service providers who help us run Rack IQ (such as payment processors and hosting providers), when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time using the contact form at www.rackiq.app. Match records that involve other players (for example, a rated match your opponent also played) may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of other players' ratings.
Children
Rack IQ is intended for players of all ages. Players under 18 may use Rack IQ with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent; if you believe a child has created an account without consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and optional two-factor authentication on your account.
Your choices
- You can update your account details in the app at any time.
- You can enable or disable two-factor authentication in Account & Security.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account, Google Play account, or Stripe billing portal, depending on where you subscribed.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your personal information via the contact form.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
